China’s President Xi Jinping recently delivered a speech at the virtual Davos Agenda event of the World Economic Forum about the world working together for mutual benefit.

Xi said he wanted to achieve a global partnership and solidarity and to go forward together by ‘building a community with a shared future for mankind.’

The speech was seen as a promotion of sustainable peace, prosperity and solidarity.

Inequality reduced

Xi suggested macro-economic policy should be amended, and inequality reduced.

He expounded that openness and inclusiveness were vital, and said multilateralism was the way forward.

China is working hard to achieve its aim to be a reasonably prosperous society.

Xi said that the Chinese were resolute in promoting international cooperation and opening-up to sustainable development.

UN Secretary-General

While addressing the Davos event, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the global situation could be ‘reinvigorated’ and ‘inclusive’ with ‘networked multilateralism.’

But he also described the ‘fragility’ of the global situation.

Sharing and caring world

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his World Economic Forum address in 2018, said he was against protectionism and inward-looking policies. He emphasised a cooperative, sharing and caring world too.

Thus, showing there is desire from countries worldwide to heal divisions and move forward to create a better future.

Opening-up

China is opening-up to the world and wishes to pursue development and economic partnerships for mutual benefit to all involved.
